We at FilmdCo have designed this grading scale to help you understand the condition on each and every camera we currently have for sale. Use this as an expert guide when deciding on purchasing your new film or digital camera!

We are 100% honest and truthful when giving these gradings to ensure you have the correct knowledge about the camera before making a purchase. Some small marks cannot always be seen in the product images so hopefully this grading system helps you understand better.

Please remember that FilmdCo doesn't sell non functioning cameras! All our cameras get tested thoroughly before being available for purchase and any cameras that don’t pass our intensive testing process are not approved to be listed. Therefore these grades are identified by cosmetic condition and minor flaws. We guarantee all our cameras are photo ready!

Each of our grading scores will be clearly visible in the product description, outlined in BOLD.

Grade 10 – Mint / Brand New / Brand New In Box
This camera presents as brand new. Cosmetically in perfect condition with zero scratches, dents or marks around the camera body, lens or screen. This camera functions flawlessly, no issues with any mechanics of the camera. Original box and accessories may also be included (as stated in ad).

Grade 9 – Near Mint
Near new condition, this camera shows minimal use with very little marks and may be somewhat unnoticeable. The cameras markings will only come from wear and tear, no drop or fall damages. Functioning perfectly as new.

Grade 8 – Excellent
Cameras in excellent condition may feature some light marks, including scratches, scuffs and surface wear. Camera will function as intended with no issues.

Grade 7 – Very Good
Very Good condition cameras will have some noticeable cosmetic flaws including scratches, scuffs, dents (large marks will be acknowledged in the ad description). These marks will not affect the cameras functionality in any way, it will function perfectly as intended. 

Grade 6 – Good
Cameras in good condition will have some clearly seen cosmetic damage, easily visible marks will be present around the camera, this includes dents, dings, scratches, scuffs and may have parts missing such as lens protectors, plug covers and issues with buttons (please refer to product image and description for details). The camera will function well, any minor issues will be stated in the product description.

Grade 5 – Fair
These cameras have seen a fair amount of use in their lives, significant cosmetic damage around the camera and may have some problems with buttons, lens issues and some functions (all function issues that aren't seen in the images will be listed in the product description). The camera will be able to take photos and work without major issue.
